MCSA and MCSE are both a part of MCP (Microsoft Certification Program). This certification program was started by Microsoft with an aim to train and certify individuals in its various tools and technologies. MCP is an individual certification program in itself. That is, it requires one to clear seven exams to get MCSE certification. On the other hand one needs to clear three core exams and one elective exam in order to get certified as MCSA.
